A two-piece collector set from an unpublished 1982 People magazine photoshoot: a rare black-and-white 8×10 hand-signed by Mike Quinn, Dave Barclay and Mike Edmonds, together with a previously unreleased signed companion photograph from the same session.

The story behind the photographs

Not long after we completed filming Return of the Jedi in 1982, Dave Barclay, Mike Edmonds and I were interviewed by People magazine about the puppetry and creatures created for the film. An accompanying photoshoot was also arranged.

Although part of the interview appeared in the magazine, the photographs themselves were never published.

In the main 8×10, Dave and I are holding pieces from the original Bossk costume. Stuart Freeborn’s workshop couldn’t provide any parts of Jabba, but they did find the mysterious tail Mike Edmonds is holding—we still aren’t entirely sure what creature it belonged to!

I think we were all asked to pull some kind of strange face for the camera, which explains quite a lot.

A previously unreleased companion print

Every set now includes an additional 85 × 85 mm (approximately 3.35-inch square) companion photograph, hand-signed by me.

Taken during the same 1982 photoshoot, it shows me seated in the grass wearing the Bossk costume feet brought along for the session.

This image has never been offered before. Only 40 signed companion prints are available—one for each collector set—and they will not be sold separately.

A final release of 40 sets

A small number of the triple-signed 8×10 photographs was originally offered several years ago. I have now brought one final group of 40 out of the vault and paired each one with the newly released companion print.

The main 8×10 has been hand-signed by:

• Mike Quinn — Nien Nunb
• Dave Barclay — chief Jabba puppeteer
• Mike Edmonds — Logray and Jabba’s tail performer

The companion print is also hand-signed by me, giving you four original signatures across two collectible photographs.

I arranged the signing personally, and you are purchasing directly from me, so authenticity is guaranteed.

Once these 40 complete sets have sold, I will not be arranging another release.
